Momentum Shift?

The Sabres made it look easy Friday against as they defeated the Bruins 4-1 at HSBC Arena. The crowd was electrifying the entire time and chants of “tuuuuuuuuka” emerged quickly after Rask allowed a goal on the first shot.

Unlike the other games in this series, the Sabres didn’t let up. They added another in the first period, then one more in the second. A late rally was all the Bruins could hope for, but Tyler Ennis finished them off as he dove to put the puck in the empty net.

It was amazing to see so many fans still believe in this team while being down three games to one. A Friday night home game in a must-win situation was the way to do it. It would have been such a heart-breaker if Buffalo lost on home ice.

As soon as the puck was dropped, you could tell the Sabres were ready to play. Has game five shifted the momentum in the series?

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
