Sabres Alert

Fear the Grier!

The Buffalo Sabres have signed Mike Grier to a one year contract extension for $1.4 million. The 35-year-old winger collected 22 points in 75 games this past season, but upped his level of play during the playoffs.

Grier turned down a contract with the Sabres in 2006 because he felt the team wasn’t heading in the right direction. Now, four years later, Grier believes the Sabres are a much better team and is willing to remain in Buffalo.

Grier is a solid workhorse, especially on the penalty kill, and is a great player to have on the team.

Kevin founded the site in 2008 and it has taken off ever since. He graduated from Buffalo State College with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
