Sabres/Flyers Preview

This is the third of four meetings between these teams this season. Philadelphia has already taken the first two, outscoring the Sabres 11-5. A Buffalo win could put them one point out of the eighth spot.

It seems every time the Sabres get a chance to move into eighth, they fall back. The Sabres still have multiple games in hand on both Carolina and the Rangers. Buffalo needs to watch out behind them as well. Toronto has come out of nowhere and is just one point behind Buffalo.

Even the New Jersey Devils are only six points back of the Sabres. Buffalo has some tough opponents in the next few games including, the Flyers, Penguins and Bruins.

Jhonas Enroth is joining the team for the weekend. This will be a huge weekend for Buffalo. There is a potential four points up for grabs this weekend for the Sabres.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
