Game 7 Tonight!

This is it. The biggest game of the season for the Flyers and Sabres. The Sabres have shown Philadelphia that they can beat them, but the Flyers have been here before. Derek Roy and the Sabres are looking to make up for a game six loss on home ice. Brian Boucher will likely get the start in net for the Flyers, while Miller will for Buffalo.

This series deserves seven games, and even though it’s in Philadelphia, there is no reason the Sabres cant win this game.

Ruff was asked by Buffalo News columnist Jerry Sullivan if all the injuries remind him of the problems the Sabres suffered in their run to the 2006 Eastern Conference Finals.

“Yeah, but I wrote a different script to this one, Jerry,” Ruff said. “We’ve got a fairy-tale ending to this one.

Sullivan responded, “Derek scores the winner.”

“That’s right,” Ruff said. “That’s right. I’ve already got that one. I can almost work at The News — I wouldn’t want to, but …”

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
