Miller Out; MacIntyre Called Up

Mike Harrington, of the Buffalo News, announced this evening that the Buffalo Sabres have called up goaltender Drew MacIntyre from the Rochester Americans. Ryan Miller has reportedly been diagnosed with a concussion following the hit from Milan Lucic during Saturday night’s game. There is no  timetable for Miller’s return.

MacIntyre is 3-4-1 with a 2.74 GAA in eight games with the Americans this season.

UPDATE – Sabres GM Darcy Regier has confirmed the diagnosis on Ryan Miller via text. Regier stated that Miller is out “indefinitely.” ESPN is also reporting that Bruins forward Milan Lucic has a 1 PM meeting on Monday to discuss the hit and a possible suspension.
