There is no Clark W. Griswald on this list, even though it is the holiday season. Here is a list of the Sabres who took their talents over seas, and how they are doing.

  • Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff, Krefield Penguins, DEL, Germany: Scoring at just under a point per game pace, Ehrhoff has 8 goals and 12 assists in 24 games. He also has logged 26 penalty minutes, and is a +7.
  • Center Tyler Ennis, SCL Tigers, National League A, Switzerland: Ennis has had a rough time playing in Europe to start. In 10 games, he has 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points. Ennis is also a -8 in those 10 games.
  • Goalie Jhonas Enroth, Altuma, Allsvenskan, Sweden:  2.71 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in three games. He posted a 2.50 goals-against average and .888 save percentage in two earlier appearances with Huddinge IK, a low-level team in his native Sweden
  • Defenseman Tyler Myers, Klagenfurter AC, Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, Austria: Myers has played 16 games, scoring 2 goals and 7 assists. He is a -8 with 30 penatly minutes.

  • Defenseman Andrej Sekera, Bratislava Slovana, KHL, Slovakia: Has played in 14 games, and has netted 2 goals and 5 assists. Sekera is a +1 with 2 penalty minutes.
  • Defenseman Alexander Suzler, Ingolstadt ERC, DEL, Germany: Sulzer has played in 15 games. He has 2 goals and 9 assists, is a +6 with 4 penalty minutes.
  • Winger Thomas Vanek, Graz 99ers, Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, Austria: Vanek has had a strong start in Europe. After only 11 games, he has netted 5 goals and 10 assists. He is a -3 with 4 penalty minutes.
    Mike Weber recently signed Lørenskog of Norway’s elite league.
