Kaleta Released from Hospital

The Buffalo Sabres have announced that forward Patrick Kaleta has been released from the hospital following a scary hit last evening.

Here is the video, in case you missed it.

Mike Brown is not expected to face any league suspension for the hit.

Following the incident, Kaleta had x-rays taken at the First Niagara Center and then was transported to a local hospital for further observation due to his previous history of having head and neck injuries.

The Sabres also announced this afternoon that Kaleta was home resting, and he did not make the trip to Boston with the team.

There is currently no word on whether the Sabres will call a player up from Rochester, or if Nathan Gerbe will draw back into the lineup.
