Sabres Waive Cody McCormick

Coming off of a tough start to the 2013 season, the Buffalo Sabres have apparently begun to shuffle pieces around to find the right lineup.

The status of McCormick is currently unknown. If he clears waivers, he necessarily does not need to be sent to the AHL.

After this report from Renaud Lavoie, the writing on the wall seems as if the Sabres are trying to rid themselves of McCormick.

McCormick has spent parts of the past four seasons with Buffalo.

In 139 regular season games, McCormick has tallied 24 points (9 goals, 15 assists). He has also played in 10 playoff games with the organization, tallying 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).
