A look ahead:

 

The Americans open up the new year on January 3rd as they travel to Utica to take on the Comets. The January schedule is one of the heavier months of AHL action which will see the Amerks take part in twelve games. Rochester will look forward to the (hopeful) return of Mike Zigomanis after he was injured on a charge by Lake Erie’s Michael Tam. Tam served a one game suspension for the illegal hit. The Americans also look forward to the return of Rasmus Ristolainen who is currently playing for Finland at the World Junior Championships. The Americans will need production from more than their top line if they wish to come back from their inconsistent ways in December.
