As the calendar turns deeper into the month of March, the stretch run of the 2013-14 season for the Buffalo Sabres takes center stage.

The 21st week of the season saw the Sabres play 4 games in 6 days.

On Monday, Buffalo traveled to Dallas. The Sabres would play the Stars tough, but ended up losing 3-2.

A few days off would see the Sabres make a handful of changes at the Trade Deadline, so the team traveled to Tampa Bay with a different identity.

For the Sabres, Tampa Bay would be a sight for sore eyes. This game would be the highlight of the mini road trip, with the Sabres taking a decisive 3-1 victory over the Lightning.

The final game of Buffalo’s road trip would take place in Sunrise, Florida, which is the home of the Florida Panthers. While the Sabres did not show up with their best game of hockey, the Panthers basked in the return of goaltender Roberto Luongo. Buffalo would be shutout, 2-0.

In their final game of the week, Buffalo hosted the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago did not play their best game, and Buffalo gave the Blackhawks a run for their money, the Sabres would ultimately lose 2-1.

Buffalo ended this week with 2 of a potential 8 points. This leaves Buffalo at 30th in the league, with 46 points and a 19-37-8 record. The Sabres also sport a league-worst -60 goal differential.
