“Top shelf, where momma hides the cookies!”

“May Day! May Day! May Day!”

“Now, do you believe?”

“These guys are good. Scary good.”

“LalalalalalalalaFontaine!”

“Somebody find a fire hydrant and put this guy out. He’s red hot!”

“Roll the highlight film!”

“Are you ready Legion of Doom? Here comes the Buffalo Sabres!”

“This series is going back to where Jimmy Hoffa is!”

The players change. The announcer doesn’t.

The Sabres announced that Foster Hewitt Award winner and Hall of Fame play-by-play man Rick Jeanneret will be back for his 45th season. He’ll work a partial schedule with Dan Dunleavy jumping in to fill out the schedule.

Rob Ray will return as the color analyst. Brian Duff remains the in-game host. Brad May will join Duff as well.

Starting with the season opener against the Montreal Canadiens on October 13, a total of 74 games will air exclusively on MSG this year. Eight games will be broadcast on NBCSN.

Here’s a look back to some of the most memorable calls from RJ:

I've been a Sabres fan since my first game in the Aud in '76 against the Habs. I sat in the lower golds for that game and though I've been to close to 400 games, I've never sat as close as I did that night.
