Scoring change

The National Hockey League has announced a scoring change from Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins.

Jack Eichel was initially awarded a goal, with assists from Rasmus Ristolainen and Sam Reinhart. Today, credit has been given to Kyle Okposo with the goal, his 11th of the season. The assists go to Eichel and Ristolainen. With the change, Reinhart’s five-game point streak comes to an end.

Here’s another look at the goal:

Eichel now has six goals on the season while Okposo has 11.

The Sabres are at MSG tonight to take on the New York Rangers. Anders Nilsson will be in goal for Buffalo.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
