Gameday notes: McCabe scratched

There are a few lineup changes for tonight’s home finale against the Montreal Canadiens

Defenseman Jake McCabe is expected to be scratched as he has made some costly errors over the last few games. William Carrier and C.J. Smith are also getting in extra work and are not expected to play tonight.

Instead, Nicolas Deslauriers, Justin Falk and Matt Moulson will all be in the lineup. It would be Deslauriers’ 40th game of the season, which is important for expansion draft purposes.

Forward Kyle Okposo is not doing much better with his sickness and could very well miss the remaining three games.

Robin Lehner will start in goal as Nilsson is a little banged up. Linus Ullmark has been recalled to backup Lehner. Tonight’s game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
