Adidas releases new jerseys

On Tuesday, Adidas and the NHL released modified jerseys for all 31 teams. Many changes were minor, while others didn’t see any at all.

While many fans were hoping to see the Sabres move to a royal blue, it didn’t happen. The Sabres will stick with their navy color, but did see some slight adjustments made.

Buffalo has done away with the sliver lines going vertically across the jersey. They have also gotten rid of the “armpit stains,” those gray circles that only showed when players lifted their arms.

The Sabres remain the only team in the league to have the jersey number also on the front side, but it appears that is only for the home jerseys.

Las Vegas also unveiled their new jersey. Here’s a look at what they’ll don this season:

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
