Carrier, pick head to Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Golden Knights have taken forward William Carrier from Buffalo in the expansion draft.

The Sabres have also given up their sixth round pick in this year’s draft. It is believed that the draft pick was for the Golden Knights to stay away from the unprotected Linus Ullmark.

Carrier was drafted 57th overall in 2013 by the St. Louis Blues. The 22-year-old has played 41 career games, all with Buffalo, scoring five goals and three assists.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
