Preseason opening lineup

Sabres hockey is back! It’s only preseason, but the real games are just a couple of weeks away.

Tonight, the Sabres open their preseason slate with a home game against the Carolina Hurricanes at the KeyBank Center. Robin Lehner will get the start in goal. Here are the projected lines:

Robin Lehner will be backed up by Linus Ullmark.

One of the biggest names to keep an eye on is Brendan Guhle, who will be paired with Ristolainen tonight. Guhle is looking to earn a spot on the team and could very well make that happen with a strong couple of weeks.

Tonight’s game is scheduled for 7 p.m. We’ll have stats and a recap waiting for you later tonight.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
