Bailey place on IR; Redmond up

The Sabres have placed Justin Bailey on injured reserve and have recalled Zach Redmond from Rochester. The injuries continue to pile up for Buffalo, but it will allow Nicholas Baptise the opportunity to start tonight’s game against Washington.

Baptiste played 14 games for the Sabres last season, registering three goals and an assist. With the Amerks, he put up 25 goals and 16 assists in 59 games.

This season, Baptiste has recorded three goals and two assists in eight games for Rochester.

The Sabres may be getting some help on the blue line by this weekend. Both Rasmus Ristolainen and Zach Bogosian are considered day-to-day with injuries. Bogosian has yet to play in a game this season.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
