On Monday, the Sabres announced that they have called up defenseman Brendan Guhle and goaltender Linus Ullmark from Rochester.

Many fans have been clamoring for Guhle’s presence in Buffalo’s lineup, and now he’ll have the chance. Guhle has played in 35 games for the Rochester Americans this season, totaling 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists). He’s only played three career NHL games, but has yet to register a point.

Ullmark is having a successful season as well as he was selected as an AHL All-Star. The 24-year-old has a record of 17-5-1-2, along with a save percentage of .928 and a goals against of 2.27.

Ullmark played in just one game for Buffalo last year, but appeared in 20 the year before, posting a .913 save percentage and a 2.60 GAA.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
