Sabres select Rasmus Dahlin

Now it’s official.

The Buffalo Sabres have added a young, promising defensive player in Rasmus Dahlin. It was a unanimous decision ever since the team won the draft lottery, and they’ve won the Dahlin sweepstakes.

“I instantly thought of Brian Leetch and his skating, especially during his years with the New York Rangers. He also had the courage to skate with the puck, use his skating and take advantage of the space when he had the chance…I can see the similarities between how they play.” – Nicklas Lidstrom

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
