Intro: The Sabres, who have lost two straight, will look to salvage their first road trip of the season in a matchup today against the Los Angeles Kings. Puck drop is slated for 3:30 PM ET.

Season series: This is the first of two meetings between these teams. The next matchup won’t be until December 11th at Key Bank Center. The last time the Sabres beat the Kings was a 6-3 victory in December of 2016, while the Kings are currently winners of three straight.

Buffalo notes: After a strong performance in Arizona to kick off their road trip, the Sabres have floundered in the last two. They’ve only scored two goals in the last two games while giving up nine. Yesterday’s practice points to a shakeup today in both the forward lines and power-play units.

Los Angeles notes: The Kings are off to a disappointing and sluggish start to their season. With a record of 2-4-1, they’re losers of three-straight, the last being a 7-2 blowout at the hands of the New York Islanders. Buffalo native Alex Iafallo is off to a hot start leading the team in points with two goals and four assists.
