Back in action

⏰ 8 p.m.   ? MSG   ? WGR550

Buffalo returns to action against the St. Louis Blues tonight at 8 p.m. at the Enterprise Center after a four-day Christmas break.

Season series:

This will be the first matchup of two this season between the Sabres and Blues. They will square off again in Buffalo on March 17th. Last season, Buffalo went winless against St. Louis with an 0-1-1 record.

Buffalo notes:

The Sabres look to keep things rolling after a 3-0 blanking of the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night. Jack Eichel and his top line will try to keep their hot season aflame against an ex-Sabre in Ryan O’Reilly. Look for Phil Housley to get his boys fired up in order to get the secondary scoring going.

St. Louis notes:

After coming off of their own win against the Calgary Flames on Saturday, the Blues will be hungry for another victory in an otherwise disappointing season to date. With the O’Reilly trade over the summer, St. Louis thought they would turn into a contender. They certainly didn’t think they would be in 28th place after Christmas break.
