Sabres Get Much Needed Win

It looked like it was going to be another loss for the Sabres. With 14 seconds to go and the Sabres down by one, Jochen Hecht’s first goal of the season couldn’t have come at a better time.

Tyler Ennis completed the comeback victory with the game-winner in the shootout. Jhonas Enroth’s performance kept the Sabres in the game. He stopped former Sabre Clarke MacArthur three times, including in the shootout.

Despite falling behind 2-0, Buffalo battled back and played well all night long. It was a long overdue win, and Enroth’s first NHL victory.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
