Forward Jacob Josefson will not return to the Sabres lineup next season. After seven seasons with the New Jersey Devils and one injury-plagued year in Buffalo, the former 1st round, 20th overall pick will return home this offseason.

In 39 games for the Sabres, he recorded two goals and two assists, but missed over half the season with injuries.

He has struggled offensively throughout his career and never turned out to be the player many had hoped when he was drafted. He is an unrestricted free agent but is not expected to sign in the NHL.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
