Season series: This is the first of only two meetings between these teams this season. The only other matchup will be in Buffalo on December 22nd. Last season Buffalo won in Anaheim, taking three of the foure points up for grabs in the series.

Buffalo notes: The Sabres can go back over .500 and go 3-2 on the road with a win tonight. After a strong five-goal performance against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday, Buffalo hopes to carry that effort into tonight. This will conclude their road trip as they will head back to Buffalo following the game and will not play again until Thursday, when they welcome the Montreal Canadiens.
Ducks notes: The Ducks will also be coming off back-to-back games as yesterday they lost to the Vegas Golden Knight, and in the process, surrendered 40+ shots for the second time in three games. This will be the sole home game as they will go on the road for their following two.
