Rodrigues signs 1-year contract

Evan Rodrigues elected to go to arbitration and he’ll make $2M this season with the Sabres.

For a player who could be in Buffalo’s future plans, signing him to just a one-year deal seems surprising, but that was left up to the arbitrator. He’s a cheap player who has actually been pretty solid. Rodrigues scored nine goals and 20 assists in 74 games last season.

He’ll look to build on that season as he enters another contract year.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
