Sabres Beat Panthers, 6-2

Florida (30-33-12) at Buffalo (42-23-10)

This was the final time these two teams met for the season. Florida didn’t have much of a chance to make the playoffs, and the Sabres hurt their chances even more.

Buffalo has taken three of the four meetings this season. Buffalo are now 28-0 when leading after two periods. The Sabres have also moved into second place in the Eastern Conference with the win and a Penguins loss to Tampa Bay.

Tyler Ennis and Nathan Gerbe each scored a goal in the 6-2 defeat of Florida. In his return, Raffi Torres collected three assists, while Matt Ellis had two. Ryan Miller only faced 15 shots on the night and is one win away from 40 on the season.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
