Sabres Defeat Sens, 2-1

After splitting the first two games of the season, the Sabres traveled to Dundas, Ontario on Tuesday to take on the Ottawa Senators.

After a high-scoring night in Toronto, the Sabres played a much more defensive game, but that could be because of Ryan Miller in net.

Rob Niedermayer scored the first goal of the game, and Jason Pominville added one in the third.

Patrick Kaleta, who has yet to play in the preseason, has not been cleared to play by Head coach Lindy Ruff. Kaleta is expected to play in Thursday’s game.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
