Canadiens Hand Sabres 4th Straight Loss

Four home games. Four losses. The Sabres earned just one point out of a possible eight on their four game homestand. Derek Roy found the net again in Friday’s game, but that was it.

Buffalo was unable to tie the game in the third. Mike Grier got angry for missing a wide open net, and then on the same shift, missing a pass to Thomas Vanek. Grier then slammed the bench door and disposed of his stick by breaking it into pieces.

Roy’s goal ended a 118 minutes scoreless streak for the Sabres. The Sabres fell to 1-3-1 on the season. Buffalo now plays six of the next seven games on the road.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
