Enroth Shines Again in Shootout

Enroth’s performance in the shootout helped Buffalo defeat Montreal 3-2 on Wednesday night. After becoming the first NHL goaltender to win his first two games via shootout, enroth made it 3-0 by out-dueling Carey Price in 10 rounds.

The Sabres fell behind 2-0, but came back and forced overtime. Then, Montreal took a 2-0 lead in the shootout, but the Sabres came back there, too. Jochen Hecht finally finished off the Habs as he deked out Price.

The Sabres became the first team in the NHL to win a game after trailing 2-0 in both the game and the shootout. With the win, the Sabres are just two points out of the eighth playoff spot, behind Carolina, with two games in hand.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
