Sabres/Penguins Preview

This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between these teams. Pittsburgh has won the first three, including two one-goal victories.

The Sabres are on a 5-0-2 run and will get some help with Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Brooks Orpik all out of the lineup for Pittsburgh. Malkin was injured in the last game against the Sabres. Since he went down, the Penguins are 4-5-4 and have not won in regulation in more than a month.

Ryan Miller is expected to get the start in net after getting Sunday off, when Jhonas Enroth led the Sabres to a 3-2 overtime win in Minnesota.

The Sabres are 6-0-1 in their last seven road games and will look to continue their winning streak in Pittsburgh tonight.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
