Ehrhoff’s Rights traded to Buffalo

Some very exciting news tonight in Buffalo!

The Sabres have just acquired the rights of Christian Ehrhoff by trading the New York Islanders a 4th round pick.

Ehrhoff has put up at least 40 points in each of the past three seasons, including his career high of 50 this past year.

Now, the Sabres will have a chance to sign him before free agency hits on Friday.

If Regier does sign him, the defense in front of Miller could be the best he has ever had in Buffalo. Would signing him force Buffalo to make a trade for a #1 center?

What do you think of this and how much would you be willing to sign him for?

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
