Report: HSBC Arena Re-Named

Numerous reports are currently coming out of Buffalo and those reports are stating that at 2 PM today, Buffalo Sabres President Ted Black will announce a new deal that will change the name of the HSBC Arena.

First Niagara Bank has paid the Buffalo Sabres an undisclosed amount of money to obtain the arena’s naming rights from HSBC.

The arena has been re-named the “First Niagara Center.”

This is the third time that the arena has changed it’s name since it was built in 1996.
