Ennis considered “week-to-week”

The Buffalo Sabres have announced that forward Tyler Ennis has an ankle sprain and will likely miss a few weeks. Ennis is considered week-to-week and will likely miss 10-20 games.

The forward injured his ankle when he was taken down and slid into the net, jamming his ankle into the goal post on the way by.

Ennis has played seven games this season, but has yet to register a point.

Paul Gaustad was given a maintenance day today and the Sabres are not sure if Jochen Hecht will be available for tomorrow’s game against Tampa Bay. If he is unable to go, Matt Ellis could be called up to fill that spot.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
