Injury Update: Weber Out, Brennan In

The Buffalo News is reporting that Sabres defenseman Mike Weber will likely miss time due to an upper-body injury suffered in Wednesday’s game against New Jersey.

Weber has spent a large portion of this season waiting to fill an empty slot on the blue line. He’s played in just three games this year and will be out for some time.

“Mike sustained an injury that may take some time,” coach Lindy Ruff said after practice in First Niagara Center. “I don’t know exactly when it happened.”

T.J. Brennan has been called up and has six points in 16 games with Rochester.

Jochen Hecht and Tyler Ennis are both still injured, but are nearing return.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
