If injuries weren’t an issue already, they certainly were after last night’s game against Columbus. After Robyn Regehr left the game, it made seven straight games in which a Sabres player was injured. There is no timetable yet as to when Regehr will return.
In his absence, it is being reported that the Sabres have called up Brayden McNabb, who will be the third straight Sabre to make his NHL debut. In addition to that, one of the Sabres forwards have also been injured, but Lindy Ruff has not specified as to who it was.
“We’ve never had it this bad,” said Ruff.
Paul Szczechura has been called up and will make if five Sabres who have made their Buffalo debut this month. McNabb will be wearing number 81 on defense.
The injuries have built up and the list now includes Ryan Miller, Tyler Myers, Patrick Kaleta, Cody McCormick, Robyn Regehr, Tyler Ennis, Mike Weber and Brad Boyes.
Stay tuned for more information and to find out the remaining player who is now injured.
