Today’s practice for the Buffalo Sabres seemed to provide a glimmer of hope when it comes to the amount of Sabres currently injured.
As reported earlier today on Sabres Hockey Central, the Buffalo Sabres have sent TJ Brennan, Paul Szczechura and Corey Tropp back to Rochester. This news obviously perked some people’s ears because this reassignment meant that some players would be coming back for tomorrow night’s game against the New York Islanders.
With that being said, here is a complete update on all the currently injured Buffalo Sabres players.
Tyler Myers – Myers had surgery on his wrist last week. He has yet to begin skating and is out 4-6 weeks.
Tyler Ennis – Participated in full practice this afternoon. He will not play tomorrow night against the Islanders but he could return this weekend for the Sabres.
Ryan Miller – Miller took a few shots before practice this afternoon. He has yet to be cleared to practice but he is hopeful that he can practice on Wednesday. Miller also spoke a little more about his current injury situation,”Symptom-wise, I think it was more neck, something where I aggravated a disc in my neck pretty good.”
Mike Weber – Weber skated with a non-contact jersey on today. No timetable on his return.
Brad Boyes – Did not skate today and remains out indefinitely.
Cody McCormick – Skated a little before practice this afternoon. No timetable on his return.
Robyn Regehr – Participated in the full practice this afternoon. Appears ready to return tomorrow night against the Islanders.
Patrick Kaleta – Participated in the full practice this afternoon. Appears ready to return tomorrow night against the Islanders.
Drew Stafford – Participated in the full practice this afternoon. Appears ready to return tomorrow night against the Islanders.
Also, forward Zack Kassian and defenseman Brayden McNabb will remain with the Sabres until a few more players return from their respective injuries.
