“I was driving the net and I got a little shove from behind,” Tootoo said. “That’s the last thing I want to do is run the goalie over and put my team down. Clearly I tried to jump out of the way. There was no intent to charge at him.”

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Tootoo does have history with suspensions. He received one a few years back, in 2007, for sucker punching Stephane Robidas, who suffered a concussion. Here’s a look at it:

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
