Much Needed Win

It’s about time.

It was so nice to see the Sabres get the win against Washington last night, especially since they went out to a 4-0 lead. I was hoping they would get a few more goals, but Buffalo got the win, so I’m not going to complain.

It was a step in the right direction, but now they have to keep it going.

The Sabres are in 9th place after the win, and just two points behind New Jersey and Ottawa. Buffalo will be facing both of those teams by the end of the week.

Last year at this time, the Sabres were doing worse than they are now. If they can keep getting points in December and January, they won’t need such a dramatic comeback to make the postseason.

After Jochen Hecht and Brad Boyes returned, the injury list shortened up. Hopefully more players return over the next few weeks.

– A little surprising to see the Rangers at the top of the Conference. I knew they had a good team this year, but they quietly lead their division and now 1st place in the East.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
