Sabres Look to Stay Hot vs. Tampa

Buffalo is back at .500 again this season after defeating Dallas in a shootout last night.

Tonight, the Sabres host the Lightning, a team Buffalo has yet to beat this year.  Both meetings have gone Tampa Bay’s way this year as Buffalo lost both games of a home and home back in October.

Tampa Bay had a rest day on Friday, so they will be rested and ready to go Saturday night in Buffalo.

Buffalo is currently in the midst of a 4 game home stand in which they are 2-0-0 and 5-0-1 in the last 6 games overall.

Luke Adam has been sent back down to Rochester and Zack Kassian is called up and will be in the lineup tonight for the Sabres.

Buffalo currently trails 8th place by 8 points.  They sit in 11th place behind Winnipeg and Washington.  Although with a win tonight, Buffalo gets two points closer, they do not move any closer in the rankings.

Scoreboard watching tonight:  If Tampa Bay wins tonight in Buffalo in regulation, they will tie Buffalo in points.  Montreal needs a point in Toronto to tie with Buffalo; a win will put them one point ahead of Buffalo.  NY Islanders win will tie them in points with Buffalo.

The puck drops at 7pm on MSG. For those of you who have Time Warner, tonight’s game will bbroadcasting on Channel 2 (WGRZ) in Buffalo and Channel 10 (WHEC) in Rocheater.
