Over the past few days, we have posted debatable topics on what would make for the perfect NHL, if possible. We posted six polls and asked readers to get their votes and opinions, and now the results are in.
As voted by the readers, here are the results:
Season length: 70 games
It was a close poll between 82 and 70 games, but playing 12 fewer games won the vote.
Conference/Division alignment: 4 conferences
Overtime: 4 on 4 10 minute OT, then shootout
Overtime penalties: carryover and player cant shoot in shootout
Point system: each game gives out three points
# of playoff teams: 16
