Following this morning’s skate, Lindy Ruff announced that defenseman Robyn Regehr would play tonight after missing 7 games due to a lower-body injury.
Regehr has to be activated from injured reserve, so a corresponding roster move would need to be made.
Petrecki and Tyrell cleared Waivers. Det places MacDonald and Buf places Ellis on Waivers.

Matt Ellis, a member of the Sabres organization since the 2008-09 season, will be made available to the entire league through the waiver process.
If no team claims Ellis, he will be sent to the AHL to play for the Rochester Americans.
In 197 games for the Buffalo Sabres, Ellis only posted 33 points (13 goals, 20 assists) but ask anybody who has worked with Ellis and they’ll tell you that his heart and love for the game are unmatched.
Bill Hoppe, a friend of Sabres Hockey Central, says it best in this tweet.
Darren Dreger reports Matt Ellis is on waivers. Tough for him. Maybe of the nicest and most genuine person I've ever met in hockey. #Sabres
