Another Sabres season has come to an end, and unfortunately, there were no playoffs for Buffalo. Despite the Sabres falling short of the postseason for the 2nd year in a row, we’d like to take the opportunity to reach out and thank our readers.
This post is dedicated to the readers of Sabres Hockey Central because without you, SHC wouldn’t be where it is today.
Not only was it a lockout-shortened season, but it was also another tough year to watch the Sabres. If you think it was difficult watching the Sabres this past year, try covering them all season long.
We’ve been dedicated to providing you with consistent coverage and you’ve returned the favor by continuing to support us, simply by visiting the site.
But it goes beyond just visits and clicks.
Every time you visit the site, read a story, comment on a post or simply “like” a Facebook status – these are the reasons for our success.
This season, we had a representative in the press box for almost every Sabres home game. Sabres Hockey Central received media credentials and access to the locker room and press conferences, and it has helped us better develop our stories.
SHC’s interaction with fans has never been better, and it has showed as the Facebook page surpassed 2,000 “likes” and has become a great source for us to provide fans with information. We also had our first-ever ticket giveaways this season and that is something we will do more of next year.
SHC also had more than 12,000 unique people visit the site in just the past few months.
We personally want to thank you for being a reader, and hopefully a fan, of Sabres Hockey Central.
In addition, we’re asking you to do us a favor and tell us what you like about the site and what you don’t. What can we do better? How we did this season?
We want your feedback, whether it’s positive or negative, because believe it or not, we’re already working on improving for the 2013-2014 season. Your honest answers will only assist us in getting better and are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for all of your support!
