Week in Review #11

wir11

The Buffalo Sabres entered the 11th week of hockey, struggling to forge their new identity under interim head coach Ted Nolan. While the Sabres were able to win this week, the same could not be said about the other two games.

Buffalo continues to improve, but they’ve been unable to turn the corner yet.  Many fans find themselves unable to maintain positivity, but the progress is in the product. Buffalo has been shooting the puck substantially more, and minimizing opportunities for their opponents. Many of Buffalo’s losing issues could be solved if a a few more goals were scored.

After eleven weeks of hockey, the Sabres have 17 points (7-23-3). They are 8th in the Atlantic Division and 16th in the Eastern Conference. Buffalo is also sporting a league-worst -41 goal differential.
