The Buffalo Sabres entered the 20th week of their season, coming off of a two-week break for the Olympics.

Heading into play, the Buffalo Sabres seemed to hit their stride and come out of the gates red hot. This week, Buffalo recorded a 3-0-0 record and tallied 6 of 6 points.

Buffalo’s first game was an impressive 3-2 victory, that will end up going in the history books as goaltender Ryan Miller’s final victory with the franchise. This game also featured two Christian Ehrhoff goals.

The second game of the week featured another impressive goaltending performance, but this time from Jhonas Enroth. The Sabres won this game 5-4 in overtime, thanks to Matt D’Agostini and a mini-breakaway goal.

Buffalo’s final game of the week was against San Jose. While Buffalo won 4-2, it was not without drama. Five minutes before the opening faceoff, the Sabres completed a trade that sent Ryan Miller and Steve Ott to the St. Louis Blues.

After this week of hockey, the Sabres sit in 30th place with an 18-34-8 record. This record gives Buffalo 44 points. Buffalo also sports a league-worst -58 goal differential.
