The Buffalo Sabres continued one of the busiest stretches of the 2013-14 season, and proceeded to fall completely flat.
In the first game, Buffalo allowed four unanswered goals and ended up falling to the Nashville Predators 4-1. Following this loss, the Sabres headed to Carolina, where they would allow 3 unanswered goals, and lose 4-2.
After their second straight loss, featuring at least 3 unanswered goals, the Sabres headed to the Nassau Coliseum to face the New York Islanders. While the Sabres did not allow 3 or more unanswered goals, they did allow 4 goals, for the third straight game, in a 4-1 loss.
The final game of the week would feature the return of Thomas Vanek. While the return was very well done by the Sabres organization, the offense did not show up. Buffalo would lose this game 2-0, and lost Jhonas Enroth to injury.
Four games played, 14 goals allowed and only 4 goals scored. This adds to the Sabres league-worst -70 goal differential.
Following the 22nd week of the Sabres season, their record sits at 19-41-8 with 46 points.
