The Sabres have announced that they have re-signed forward Tyler Ennis to a 5-year deal. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Ennis has played in parts of five seasons for Buffalo, and was a restricted free agent this summer. The two-time 20-goal scorer had an average annual salary of approximately $2.8M for the past couple seasons, his first deal after his entry-level contract.

Ennis will be 25 years old when the season begins and has the opportunity to play a role during the Sabres’ rebuild over the next few years.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
