It took some time, but Phil Housley finally made it. In his ninth year of eligibility, Phil Housley has been named to the Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2015.
Along him are Chris Pronger, Nick Lidstrom, Sergei Fedorov, Angela Ruggiero, Bill Hay and Peter Karmanos. All of these players will officially be inducted into the HHOF on November 9th.
Drafted by the Sabres out of high school in 1982, Housley put together an impressive resume over the course of his career.
Only three NHL players have recorded more points from the defensive side as Housley finished with 1,232. Housley registered at least 60 points in each of his first 12 seasons, including 75 or more points in five of those.
