The Sabres have added another name to their coaching staff. Dan Lambert has been named an assistant coach as he will join Terry Murray and Dave Barr behind the bench this season. Lambert resigned from his position with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL in order to take the position.

Lambert was the assistant coach of the Rockets for five seasons before taking over the duties as the head coach last season. The team went 53-13-6 with him as coach.

The Sabres are also expected to sign a goaltending coach this summer.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
