Report: Kane to miss 4-6 weeks

Kane

Evander Kane left Saturday’s game against New Jersey with what appeared to be a leg injury. The Sabres’ forward did not return and was not on the ice at Monday morning’s practice.

Head coach Dan Byslma says Evander Kane has an MCL injury and he’ll be out 4-6 weeks. He also said that Kane will not require surgery.

The Sabres called up Tim Schaller from Rochester.

If you missed it, here’s a look at what happened on the play:

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
