Kane to return tonight

Kane

The Buffalo Sabres are just under .500 but they will be getting one of their top forwards back in the lineup tonight.

Kane left during a game against New Jersey on October 24th with what appeared to be a leg injury. Head coach Dan Byslma said Kane had an MCL injury and he’ll be out 4-6 weeks. He also said that Kane will not require surgery.

Well, tonight he is back in the lineup as the Sabres take on the St. Louis Blues. Kane has a goal and two assists in eight games this season.

“I feel better,” Kane said. “I think as a team we’re in a better position than obviously we were when I got hurt. I’m looking forward to coming in especially against the teams that we’re playing the next couple games; St. Louis twice, Dallas again, and Nashville. It’s going to be a good test for myself, obviously coming off injury, and then a good test for our team and I’m looking forward to helping contribute to, hopefully, some wins.”

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
